Moeco Logo  Moeco 35 (Fruit & Vegetable Nutrients)   Moeco fertiliser products available in 1L, 2.5L, 20L, 200L and 1,000L IBC
General Information
Use: Fruit and vegetable crops requiring more potassium than nitrogen.
MSDS: Material Safety Data Sheet available here (pdf file 115 KB)
Technical Details
Organic based liquid fertiliser, chloride free.
Major nutrients are in similar proportions to that of the nutrients removed from the crops of 26 common fruit and vegetables (taken from an overall average). See Crop Nutrient Removal Table for further details.
Product formulation is also based on research results showing most common fruit and vegetable crops require approximately 20-30% more potassium than nitrogen.
Sulphur is at a ratio of 0.8 : 1 with phosphorous. Our research shows sulphur is essential for plants in approximately the same proportion as phosphorus.
Contains significant amounts of plant-available sulphur to prevent sulphur draw-downs and consequent deficiencies.
Phosphorus is an ortho-phosphate which will supply up to 45 times more plant-available phosphorus than super phosphate.  See Tips & Techniques for further details.
Contains no less than 20% specially fermented poly saccharates to help maintain an organic soil balance. The inclusion of this organic matter encourages soil bacterial activity significantly aiding the mobilization of formerly locked up plant nutrients.
Contains natural soaps which occur during the fish processing which are excellent wetting agents.
Neem oil has been added to further aid wetting.
Biuret levels are low enough to use un-restricted on all crops, including citrus, rambutans, lychees and most fruit and vegetables, even more so when used as a foliar spray.
The product analysis and the application guide are provided to enable growers to replace nutrients to all crops and orchards throughout all seasons.

General Dilution Rates
 Method Dilution
Foliar 10 ml/L or 1:100  (1 part concentrate to 100 parts water)
Ground (soil) 20 ml/L or 1:50    (1 part concentrate to 50 parts water)
Note: For delicate plants or tender new growth, reduce dilution to 5 ml/L (or 1:200) for either application method.  When applied to soil ensure product is watered in well.

Crop Specific Application Rates

Orchards, Vineyards, Miscellaneous Crops:
Please note: Suggested application rates are based on weekly intervals.
Volumes given in this table refer to concentrated product.  The concentrate must be diluted depending on the method of application (see table above) prior to use.

Important:  Moeco 35 does not contain sufficient calcium and magnesium to express full yield potential.  Calcium and magnesium is normally supplied by liming and should be available in abundance in soils suitable for cropping.  Application rates will vary with soil types, climatic conditions and prior cultivation practices.  The application rates suggested below assume that soil and climatic conditions are conducive to the particular crop intended.  Therefore the information below is a broadly-based indication only.

Crop Weekly application rate/growth stage Comment/Other nutrients
Mangoes
(NT & Nth Qld)

10 ml/tree per year of age of tree up to 100 ml.  Apply from harvest to approx 2 months prior to flowering (late February to late March), as either soil or foliar application. From flowering to harvest use Moeco 85 at a rate of 5 ml/tree per year of age of tree up to 50 ml OR Moeco 29 at 10 ml/tree per year of age of tree up to 100 ml at weekly intervals.  After fruit set, Moeco Calcium Boron Gold at 3ml/tree per year of age of tree up to 30 ml at monthly intervals as foliar application.
Citrus
Rambutan
Abui
Lychee
Custard apple
Five corner
10 ml/tree per year of age of tree up to 75 ml throughout all stages of growth as either foliar or soil application. In addition, apply Moeco 85 at 2 ml/tree per year of age of tree up to 20 ml at weekly intervals. After fruit set, Moeco Calcium Boron Gold at 3 ml/tree per year of age of tree up to 30 ml at monthly intervals as foliar application.
Pineapple
Banana
Tobacco
Sugar cane
1.5 ml/m2 during all growth stages as either foliar or soil application. In addition, apply Moeco 85 at 0.5 ml/m2 at weekly intervals and Moeco Calcium Boron Gold at 2 ml/m2, foliar application once per month.
Passion Fruit 3-7 ml per vine, as either foliar or soil application. Use the lower rate until flowering.  Use the higher rate during flowering and fruiting plus Moeco 85 at 1 ml/vine per week.
Papaw

4-6 ml/tree until flowering and first sign of fruit set. Then 10-20 ml/tree, as either foliar or soil application. In addition, apply Moeco Calcium Boron Gold at 20 ml/tree once per month, foliar application plus Moeco 85 at 15 ml/tree once per month.
Vine Grapes

3.0 ml/vine per year of age of vine up to 50 ml, from bud burst to leaf drop.  Use half the above amount after harvest as either foliar or soil application. It is important to keep fertilising until leaf drop. This ensures good nutrient storage for next season's crop.
Pome
Stone Fruit

10 ml/tree per year of age of tree up to 100 ml, from bud burst buds until leaf drop. Use half the above amount after harvest as either foliar or soil application. To prevent fruit split or bitter pit, from fruit set to harvest, apply Moeco Calcium Boron Gold at 10ml/tree per year of age of tree up to 100 ml at monthly intervals as foliar spray.  Also recommend Moeco 85 at 4 ml/tree per year of age of tree up to 20 ml at weekly intervals.

Peas
Beans
Melons
Cucumber
Pumpkins
Sweet corn
Tomatoes
2.5 ml/m2 during all stages of growth as either foliar or soil application. After flowering to harvest, apply Moeco 85 at 0.3 ml/m2 at weekly intervals.
Cabbage
Lettuce
Sweet potato
2.5 ml/m2 during all stages of growth as either foliar or soil application. In addition, apply Moeco 85 at 0.5 ml/m2 four weeks prior to harvest at weekly intervals.
Flowering shrubs
Flowers
2.0-2.5 ml/m2 Use the lower recommended dilution for delicate plants such as ferns and orchids.
Turfs
Lawns
Non-flowering shrubs
Use a high nitrogen plant nutrient such as Moeco 30.
